Visiting the BSOL Office and City Training CentreWe are located at 2nd floor, Harris Terrace, 46 George St, Brisbane. It is the Parliament end of George St, just across Margaret St from The Mansions. Please note that we are upstairs, and the building does not have a lift. Press the BSOL buzzer on the right-hand side of the front door to gain entry. (The front door is almost in line with the public telephone on the footpath).
Public TransportIf you are traveling by train or bus into the city, the free Downtown Bus Loop service will take you almost to the door. Buses run every 10 minutes from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Train travelers can catch the bus outside Central Railway Station in Ann Street at the red bus stop. It then travels down Ann Street stopping outside the City Hall and then into William Street, stopping at Queens Gardens, proceeds down William Street turning into Margaret Street and stops just after it crosses George Street. This is the nearest stop to the BSOL Office and Training Centre. Alight here and cross back over George Street at the lights and you are at 46 George Street.
The free loop bus can also be caught outside the City Hall in Adelaide Street at the red bus stop sign, eventually stopping a few metres past 46 George Street. Residents from suburbs on The Gap and Carseldine routes can hail their normal buses at the stop a few metres up from 46 George Street. Alternatively, there is a CityCat terminal at QUT.
There is two-hour meter parking in the nearby streets, particularly Alice Street, but be aware that many of the streets become clearways after 4pm. At QUT, short term parking is available under the freeway. There is a four-hour maximum, but it’s a 5-10 minute walk to the office. To minimize the amount of walking you have to do, park as close as you can to the car park exit. This parking lot is often full when QUT is in session.
