Membership Frequently Asked Questions

Who, what, where

What is Brisbane Seniors OnLine (BSOL)?

Brisbane Seniors Online is a volunteer, not for profit organisation setup to help the over fifties navigate the maze of computers & the internet.

How does it work?

After you have joined you will be sent a membership card. The card number (bsol1234 for example) will be your user ID to gain access to the secure areas of this web site. Your password will be your date of birth in the format 1/08/1950. You can change this later to one of your choice. At the same time your details will be passed to your hub (area) co-ordinator who will assign a mentor to teach you. Usually the mentor will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time and location for your first lesson. Remember however that all our mentors are unpaid volunteers so you will have to be flexible and fit in with their many other commitments.

Where are the venues?

Our first choice is your computer in your home. However we have venues all over Brisbane, such as Brisbane City Council libraries, community centres and others with computers available to us. Some are free others have small hourly rates. See our learning locations for more information.

What will I be taught?
